We now see Nina Williams and Brutus entering the mine shafts in
search of the SkyPirates...Williams is awestruck by the sights
before her eyes, especially the glowing crystals embedded in the
rock walls.

NINA WILLIAMS
I've never seen anything like this

BRUTUS
It's the ruby crystals that make them glow. They're almost
alive

NINA WILLIAMS <Hears voices>
What's that?

Together they both hide in the shadows, then peer around a
corner they see two pirate mutants pass by, pushing a mine-car
filled with the rubys. One is Kendo, and the other is his mother
Scarlet.

KENDO COYOTE
You know mom? I can't wait to get back to Alpha Prime, Earth's
so flat

SCARLET KARNAGE
Yeah, I know what you mean sonny.

Laughing they disappear down the passageway, unseen by the two
friends spying on them. Brutus points down another tunnel.

BRUTUS
This way. <Moments later they spot the family clan&gt

NINA WILLIAMS
We found them

DON KARNAGE
This is the last load yes-no? Get ready to pull out

BRUTUS
We have to do it now. <In other words, plant & arm the
bomb>

Nina attaches the device onto a nearby support brace, inputs her
password code and soon after the LCD readout screen begins
counting down to destruction. Now they begin running for their
lives down the tunnels but as they round another corner, they
come face to face with the startled Scarlet and her son!

BRUTUS
Oh no! <Charges into attack-mode>

However Scarlet slams him to the ground unconscious while Nina
goes after her. Kenny attacks the asassin woman, trying to
protect his mother. All the while the bomb continues ticking
toward DEATH! Meanwhile back outside, the Commandos are getting
worried.

BUTCH MEATHOOK
They ought to be out of there by now

CHIP HAZARD
I don't like it. Something's very wrong

PRIVATE PAIN <Volunteers>
I'll check it out. <But Chip stops him&gt

CHIP HAZARD
No, I'll go. I'll use Roller, he's small enough to get in there
without being seen

KIP KILLIGAN
We'll come with you

CHIP HAZARD
Stay there. If I'm not back in 5 minutes, come get me. <So
saying he morphs into Big Rig form>

Back inside the mine, Scarlet and Ken have knocked out Nina and
stand gloating over her.

SCARLET KARNAGE
Let's give your father a little present

KENDO COYOTE
Hmmm, maybe we ought to wrap her up and put a bow on her,
heheheahahaha!

Hazard approaches the entrance to the mine and releases the
astro-mech droid (Similar to R2-D2 in STAR WARS)

CHIP HAZARD
It's up to you Roller. Find out what's going on in there. And
be
careful!

Beeping and whistling, the droid rolls into the mine. Suddenly
the bomb explodes sending off a huge vibration which starts a
collapse of the entire shafts as timber supports give way and
ceilings cave in with dirt, rocks, rubble that crashes down on
the shocked, terrifie
pirates! The blast or shockwaves slams into Chip, knocking him
off-balance at the same time.

CHIP HAZARD
Roller

BUTCH MEATHOOK
Major!

Helplessly the marines watch as their leader goes tumbling,
rolling end over end down the side of the cliff-face until coming
to rest on his side, wheels spinning. They rush to his aid.

BUTCH MEATHOOK
Chip! You all right

DUKE NUKEM
Looks bad Lieutenant

BUTCH MEATHOOK
Kip, see if repairs are needed

KIP KILLIGAN
Let's get him up on his wheels first.

Working together, the Elite maneuver the 18-Wheeler back onto
its tires again.

KIP KILLIGAN
Chip, can you hear me

CHIP HAZARD
Ugggggh, Oooooooh. <In pain and shock&gt

BUTCH MEATHOOK

CHIP HAZARD <Alarmed>
Roller! Wh-what happened to him?

The droid appears, whistling & making sad chirping noises as
if he is saying he cannot find his friends.

BUTCH MEATHOOK
Down but not out. Roller's one tough little Commando

PRIVATE PAIN
Hazard, can you still morph

CHIP HAZARD
I-I'll try. I, ugh, I don't know...if I can do it...

Desperate he attempts to change back to human-alien form. It is
painful and he cries out in agony. With the other soldiers
looking on in helpless terror, the Major at last suceeds in
morphing back to his true form once again.

CHIP HAZARD <Reacts>
The blast! Nina, Brutus. They're still inside. <Stares at

The sergant begins picking up the boulders as if they are toys
and tosses them aside with ease. Hazard shouts instructions to
his men.

CHIP HAZARD
Start digging! First one to find them call out, MOVE!

Rats & Aliens work side by side in removing the debris,
looking for their lost comrades until Link Static locates Nina
and Brutus trapped alive in an air-pocket.

I thought we had it. <Nearly out of breath>

Carefully both are helped outside to fresh air. Timmy, Jenny,
Martin, Ages & Justin rush to welcome back their friend as
Chip congratulates his allies.

CHIP HAZARD
Thanks to you two, the SkyPirates are finished

NINA WILLIAMS
Oh we were almost finished too

BRUTUS
Nitro wasn't kidding when he said it would blow in 60
minutes

NICK NITRO

With the pirates buried under all that rock, we can resume our
search for the resources we need
